We’re HIP here at Olson

It's time again to load up on sunscreen and get the air conditioning pumping.  Summer is here and Olson Communications is tacking on one more degree to its already-hot list of clients.

HIPster logoIn the next few weeks, we will help launch the "Are you a HIPster?" campaign on Twitter and Facebook.  HIPsters, or HomeTrend Influentials, are home owners who love to try new products and gadgets to make home improvements inside and out. By acting as the "guinea pigs" every time a new item hits the shelves, family and friends look to HIPsters for advice and guidance on what to buy next and how to make their home look the best it can. These HIPsters should be willing to share thoughtful critiques on products and their opinions will most likely reflect those of the general public.

Some other criteria for HIPsters include:

  • Being a trend-setter who enjoys trying new things, decorating and talking to family and friends about what's new.
  • Voicing opinions through writing, attending meetings or becoming part of an organization.
  • Using the Internet for e-mail and social networking to share information with others.
