November Movie Releases

November—the kick-off of the holiday movie season. The temperature may be dropping slightly outside, but things at the movie theater are heating up.  The next couple of weeks are bringing in some highly anticipated films, both big and small.

BH6 - one sheetThis Friday, Walt Disney Animation Studios presents BIG HERO 6, the family-friendly, action-packed, comedy-adventure. The story follows the special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax (voice of Scott Adsit), and prodigy Hiro Hamada (voice of Ryan Potter), who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.DD2 once sheet

Fans of Harry and Lloyd can enjoy DUMB AND DUMBER TO as Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their signature roles in this comedy from the film’s original directors Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly.  Harry and Lloyd take a road trip to find a Harry’s long-lost child.  Harry never knew he had a child and probably never should have been given one. Mockingjay final SAlso coming to the big screen this November is THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1, the worldwide phenomenon that continues to set the world on fire. THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART 1 finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins. The book has over 65 million copies sold in print from the U.S. alone. Two other films opening in November include: THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, the extraordinary story of one of the world’s greatest living minds, astrophysicist Stephen Hawking (starring Eddie Redmayne), and THE HOMESMAN starring Academy HOMESMAN SAward®- winners Tommy Lee Jones and Hilary Swank.
